Our banquet menu is designed to facilitate you in selecting the food combinations for your event. Waterman’s offers full banquet services and we’re happy to assist you in planning your event. We are always available to show you are oceanfront facilities and discuss your party ideas. If there’s something that you would like to have that is not on our menu, Waterman’s can more than likely provide it. Whether you are looking for a quick business lunch, an after work get-together, a spot to poster rehearsal dinner or wedding reception, Waterman’s can accommodate you. Banquet Policies The Attic: Comfortably accommodates 200 guests for cocktail party and 100 of your closest friends and family for a seated dinner. The Attic is located on the second floor of Waterman’s. Wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, business luncheons, retreats and many other special occasions are a perfect fit. The Surfroom: Accommodates a party of 20 guests for a lovely seated dinner. This is a great choice for an after hours get-together, rehearsal dinner or birthday party. The Surf Room is located within the restaurant and is semi-private.
The Stage: Consists of two large round tables which seat 15 guests each and three booths which seat 14. The Stage can accommodate as many as 44 guests. This is a great space for birthday parties, luncheons, and rehearsal dinners. The Stage is located within the restaurant and is semi-private.
The Slam Shack: This island style bar overlooks the beautiful ocean of Virginia Beach and can be enclosed for protection against any harsh weather. The Slam Shack can accommodate up to 60 guests for a cocktail party. Room Rental: Events hosted in the main dining areas will not be charged a room rental fee. The events in The Attic scheduled between Monday and Thursday require a room rental fee of $275. Events in The Attic on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays require a room rental fee of $475. Each event secures the room for 4 hours. Additional time is $100 per additional hour. Room Guarantee: To reserve a room there must be a guaranteed number of guests and a complete menu formed within 14 days of your scheduled event. You will be charged for the number of guests guaranteed, plus any additional guests who attend. Our rooms are assigned based on the amount of guests attending the event. Should the number of guests changed substantially, Waterman’s Surfside Grill reserves the right to reassign space as well as fees. Deposits And Payments: The room charge is required to reserve the date and the room. The food and beverage total must be received a minimum of 14 days prior to the scheduled event. We would appreciate the payment being made by check. Cancellation Policy: Room deposits are refunded when your event is canceled 60 days in advance. Service Charges And Tax: All food and beverage service will be charged a tax of 10.5% service charge as well as a gratuity charge of 20%. We offer delicious dessert, however, for special occasions such as wedding rehearsals and wedding receptions when you bring a cake into Waterman’s we charge a caking fee of $1.00 per guest (excluding The Attic.) Waterman’s is all too happy to provide your special occasion cake. Plated Dinners In The Attic: If they are less than 35 guests in your party you may have two entree selections. . If there are more than 35 guests in your party you must pre-order your entrees entrees from a selection of no more than four entree selections. Audio Visual: Arrangements for your audio visual requirements can be made with your Banquet Coordinator. Waterman’s supplies you with wireless Internet, Sirius radio, an iPod adapter, podium, microphone, projector, DVD player as well as an eight foot screen. Any equipment you wish to use must be approved in advance by the banquet coordinator. Decorations: You may decorate the room for your event, however, all decorations and equipment must be removed immediately following the event. We ask that when you decorate you do not use sand, confetti, staples, nails, or tape. Waterman’s cannot accept responsibility for items left on the premises. We are more than happy to print specialty menus for your event. The charge for each printed menu is $1.00 each. Arrangements for ice sculptures, photographers, disc jockeys, wedding cakes, flowers and lodging can be made with the Banquet Coordinator. Where more than happy to discuss themed events such as barbecue dinners, taco bars, lobster boils, Italian pasta buffets, raw bars, and specialty holiday menus. During summer months, holidays, and special event weekends at the beach our menus, prices and policies are subject to change.
